Girl I'm checkin you out like a library book....

I'm a total bookworm. Ever since I was young, I could go to the library and pick out a handful only to have them read within a week. Honestly, I read so fast that when I go on vacation I usually have to take 4 or 5 books to keep me entertained while I'm laying out! (And yes, it does make for a heavy suitcase)

That being said, I've been in the mood for a good chick lit lately.... nothing too serious or sad, something fun and girly and an easy read...

I need some recommendations please! These are some that I've read and enjoyed in the past

I've read almost all of Emily Giffin's books, a handful of Sophie Kinsella, and a few Jen Lanscaster and a few others here and there that I find appealing covers on. Yes, I definitely pick out books by their cover... with cheesy, loveydovey chick lit you can't really go TOO wrong! I plowed through Gossip Girl series when I was in about high school, and have also taken on A-Listers series and The Au Pairs series.
So please help! What are some of your favorites?? With the weather warming up I long to sit on my porch with a big ol glass of sweet tea & a good book!

I love all of the Jodi Picoult books but those are maybe a little more serious than you are looking for. I haven't read any of the books above but I just might have to!

I love Emily Giffin and Lauren Weisberger. They have great books. I need to find a new series to get into, but I have to finish Twilight first.

Nicholas Sparks is my favorite - super sappy. I've heard good things about the Shopaholic series. Marian Keyes has some cutesy novels. chelsea handler is supposed to be super funny too. i'm currently reading "good in bed" by jennifer weiner -- she wrote "in her shoes".. it's funny too.

Okay. 1. If you've read Something Blue have you read Something Borrowed? 2. I recommend ANY of Jen Lancaster's books, I read them all and they're equally as funny as Bitter. 3. Luxe by Anna Godbersen (it's a whole series and Luxe is the first..LOVEDit)

Okay I have the perfect book for you if you want a major chick book. It's called Rattled by Christina Coppa. It's a memoir about a real life girl who was working for Glamour and unexpectedly got preggo. I couldn't put it down. The girl has her own blog on Glamour.

Most of Jennifer Weiner

Unsticky by Sarah Manning
ANything by Candice Bushnell

I also like Jennifer Cruise.. but she is a little raunchy at times... but almost always has a happy ending haha.

Jane Greene and most Jennifer Weiner (her latest - Best Friends - sucked) are excellent!

P.S. For the kinda raunchy, a well read copy of Judy Bloom Summer Sisters never hurt anyone.

And I LOVE this title.

Love Walked In is one of my favorite books, it's a quick, easy read. Belong to Me is the second book, both by Marisa De Los Santos. Stupid and Contagious by Caprice Crane and Forget About It are both easy and fun to read. I Was Told There'd Be Cake by Sloane Crosley are some of the funniest short stories I have read.

Hope this helps!
