Memorial Day weekend is a big deal around Indy! It's the weekend of the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing", the Indy 500, afterall!
This year a few Chevrolet dealerships did a cool little thing where they invited everyone who had recently purchased a Camaro or Vette to meet up, get a police escort to the track, take a lap around the track in their car and then enjoy a cookout put on by Chevy.

A family friend, myself, my dad, my grandpa, my cousin & my brother |

All of us in front of the cars |
My family is full of Chevy lovers, so I took my car, my cousin took his yellow Camaro, my dad took his red Camaro and my Grandpa took his Red Vette.
It was one of the neatest experience I've ever gotten the chance to do! I can now say I've crossed the yard of bricks in my prettylittlecar, Cammie!
I have never seen so many Camaro's & Vette's in one place! It was amazing! The police escort to the track was way cool - so many people were honking & waving as they were waiting for us to pass!

Here's the tailend of my cousin & I going into one of the turns |

The famous scoring tower |

Here come's dad! |

Enjoying the cookout |

We decided to venture into the Museum, even though I live in Indy I haven't been in there in YEARS! |
|
This is Al Unser's car, that one won the 500 the year I was born! |
I hear they are going to do it next year too, so I hope we get invited back! It's such a chilling feeling driving on that track, where so many people have raced their hearts out for the past 100 years!

Very cool! My husband would passed out. He autocross races and would have LOVED that experience. He's a race car fanatic! :)
FUN! How many cars would you say showed up??
Seriously girl - I am so incredibly jealous! IRL is my favorite and has been since I was a little girl growing up watching it!
That would be such a dream come true for me, well, that and meeting the Andretti family.
My Papa always used to joke with me 'with that heavy foot and your cute looks you deserve to be an Andretti!'
That's so neat! Love your car, Miss Chels!
