(I borrowed this picture from her blog so I could save it in my phone along with her number, under CLASSY ALY)Lucky for her, her blind date was with moi! Not some hairy 67 year old named Stan. Although I did offer her a game of backgammon which she politely declined.
If you follow her blog, you'll know that I was nervous. She had fun proclaiming my nervousness. Hey I'm not a good first-time-meeter-greeter, I panic and start overthinking! Whatevs.
I was almost late because I couldn't tear myself away from the dressing room at Nordstrom's (minus 2 points for me) and had a heck of a time finding her at our table-- the girl is CRAZY SKINNY! I'm talking, we had a single vase on our table and I couldn't see her on the other side of it... (ok she may have paid me to say that part but really.... she was every bit as lovely as the pictures she posts on her blogaroo!) -- we had a nice little chat session, did a little blog gossiping, and devoured a delicious dinner. Although I'm a bit disappointed because our waiter switched our leftovers... so my yummy rigatoni is somewhere in Aly's fridge right now, sad that I won't be enjoying them this afternoon for lunch!
So... you think maybe she'll ask me on a second date?? Or will she dish about what a horrible addition I was to her dinner... guess we'll have to wait and see!
