Mixer & Mingle Fridays : Cruzan Rum

I'm back for another edition of Mixer & Mingle Fridays! I've decided that I won't be featuring an outfit every time, but I will definitely have a new cocktail every week!

I've been in a beachy mood all week, so this week's recipe features Cruzan Estate Light Rum, and is a perfect beachy drink to take us into these warm Spring weekends!

Caribbean Cherry Cola

1 oz Cruzan Light Rum

1/2oz Amaretto

Coca Cola

Cherry

Fill a glass with ice. Add the Cruzan Rum and Amaretto, top with cola and garnish with a cherry.

Sweet and simple huh?!

Cruzan Rum is one of my favorites, I prefer the taste of Cruzan over Bacardi and other light rums but that's just my personal opinion! Something to remember

I'm not going to lie - I don't go to church, and I honestly can't say I've been since I was in elementary school. I am not completely sure of my beliefs and am not posting this to start a big debate, but ever since ChrisChris shared this quote with me a few months ago I continuously find my mind wandering back to it...

I know my page looks a little nuts right now.... I was playing with Bloggers new template designer feature and, well honestly, it's 4 o'clock and I'm leaving work! I will fix this bad boy when I get some time later tonight!

Along with my Books to Read list on my iPhone I also keep a list of things I want to do. Not like a daily to-do list but non-ordinary things that I want to do, and lately I've been thinking I want to set a time line for myself! As luck may have it, Miss Elizabeth over at Me, Myself & I is doing something very similar! So, my dear friends who I know will hold me to it... I present to you my

23 Before 23 List

1. Add at least one more stamp to my passport

2. Buy a house

3. Complete the entire 90 days of p90x

4. Refinish a piece of furniture

5. Have a girls night out atleast once a month

6. Have a date night with ChrisChris atleast once a month

7. Visit the Kane County Flea Market in St. Charles, Illinois

8. Wake up early on a Saturday and spend the whole day garage sale-ing

9. See a play

10. Make a homemade pizza

11. Go on a picnic

12. Go to the Barbie Exhibit at our Children's Museum

13. Make Cake Balls

14. Go visit a friend I haven't seen in a while

15. Make & donate atleast 1 quilt to Project Linus

16. Participate in a run/walk for charity/good cause

17. Watch my niece grow!

18. Plant (and actually grow) sunflowers

19. Try one new restaurant a month (go local!)

20. Host another game night

21. Take my parents out to dinner

22. Make a new friend

23. Try to find atleast one thing to be happy about every morning!

I have been formulating this list in my head / in my iPhone for about a month now, hence why I've already checked something off the list! Mind you, my birthday is just about 6 months away.... (remember my awesome birthday trip ChrisChris took me on last year!?)

One of the perks of my job... I get to find out about all of the new stuff before anybody else does! And in most cases, I get to try it!

Cotton Candy flavored vodka.

Yep, tastes JUST like cotton candy. I've sampled it with Sprite, but I think it would be even better with cream soda (and perhaps a signature cocktail of my blog - cream & cotton!)

Want to know what's coming out this summer? Whipped cream flavored vodka. I don't know about you... but that just sounds like trouble in a 750ml bottle.

(Quick note: I do not promote underage drinking nor drinking in excess, but a responsibly enjoyed cocktail is perfectly fine by me!)
