Check that one off!

We had a good weekend, even though it did fly by (but when don't they?!) It was forcasted that we would have rain and thunderstorms all weekend, but thankfully most of them missed us. Speaking of which, I cannot believe the devastation in Nashville that I've been seeing all over the news and blogs. Wow, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

Some of ChrisChris' family lives in Louisville so he's been keeping in touch with them making sure they're high and dry!

Friday night we went to the mall and got my sunglasses fixed. WOOHOO! I bought a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses last summer and within the past two months they got sort of bent and of course couldn't find the receipt. I've tried messing with the nose pieces and everything but I couldn't get them to sit right on my face.

Luckily the fabulous ladies at Solstice tweaked them for a good 20 minutes and finally got them back into shape. They're my hero's, I was sweatin bullets thinking I had ruined my first expensive pair of sunglasses! And of course, I found about 8 other pairs that I want! I used to be the cheapy sunglass girl, you know, the $4.80 pair from Forever 21. Until I decided to be a grown-up and get an expensive pair, low and behold I haven't lost and/or popped the lenses out of them yet!

Here's some other pretties I've been admiring - fun, bright colors for summer! (Was I the only one who didn't know T&Co had sunglasses?!)

Funny how you are more responsible when your eyewear is about the equivalent of a week's paycheck!
Do you have expensive sunglasses or do you like to buy the cheapies like I did. (PS I still enjoy cheapy sunglasses, I have a whole drawer full in my jewelry armoire... sometimes it's fun to mix it up!)

I have a pair of Coach and Kate Spade sunglasses... It's ridiculous to think that I paid that much for them!! BUT...They are an important accessory...especially in summer!

I do the cheapies cause I always lose or scratch them up.

Though I am sure you are right about treating them a bit kinder when they are more expensive!

Oh goodness I am so a cheap sundglasses girl! I found a cute pair at Target the other day for like $12 and wouldn't buy them because I thought they were too expensive...but I will spend $$$$ on random other crap...WTF?! Who knows!

I'm horrible with sunglasses, so I go for the cheapy's.

Some of my sunglasses horror stories include dropping them in a lake, while canoeing, stepping on them, shoving them in the bottom of a purse and then throwing a heaving book on them....
yeah....I could probably go on..

I had no idea T&Co sold sunglasses! I usually go for the cheapies because I either lose them or scratch them. Maybe I'll be a big girl someday and will be real ones haha. Wouldn't hurt to ask for a nice pair for my birthday ;-)

I hate to admit this, but I won a pair of Coach glasses from a local eye doctor. They are beautiful. My puppy kind of gnawed on them a bit. They still are wearable... but if you look closely you see puppy teeth marks. Damn me!
