30DBC : Day 7

While most of you are wrapping up your 3o Day Blog Challenge posts, I'm just now getting into full swing with mine. Hey what's wrong with mixing it up a bit?!

Day 7: Favorite Movies

Please tell me I'm not the only one to relive movie-moments in real life...

Remember Mr. Napkin Head from the Holiday? Here's me and my lovely, Casey, doing our best reenactment at the beach one summer.

How about the dress from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days?
Yep, I loved her dress... I wanted it... I got a bright coral knock-off for prom that year. It was so fun!Honestly, I'm not a good movie watcher. I get bored with just sitting there, so I have very few favorites... and I rarely watch a movie more than once!

However with that being said, I'll roll out the list of tolerable re-watchable movies:
1. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
2. The Holiday
3. Grease
4. Sound of Music (my momma's favorite!)
5. The Devil Wears Prada
6. The Halloween movies (I love that they play them all month long on TV every year in October!)
7. 27 Dresses
8. Sweet Home Alabama
9. Cars
10. PS I Love You

Honestly, getting to 10 was a struggle! I like a lot of movies once or twice, but I just can't handle watching them over and over!

I've also got a list of movies I will flat out shoot down if you suggest watching them again:
-Wedding Crashers
-Talladega Nights
-Dumb & Dumber
-40 Yr Old Virgin
-Borat
-Most Adam Sandler movies

Yes, I laugh the first (and generally second) time but those people who quote them relentlessly just REALLY burnt me out!

30DBC : Day 6

Day 6: A picture of something that makes you smile

This was a hard one! I was going through my iPhoto library and there's a ton of pictures that make me smile - all for their own reasons!

Some because of the people in them, some because of where they were taken, some because of the memories behind them....

I finally settled on this one.

My cousin took this photo of me while we were on vacation down in Navarre Beach, FL a few years ago. We rented a big beach house and had a blast that week. Family and friends. I love the beach, I love vacations, love all the fun times we had on that trip and I love this picture in general!

30dBC : Day 5

I've decided to play along when I have time, so most of my posts probably won't coincide with the actual day Katie has on her blog. I hope she doesn't mind!

Day 5 : your siblings

My big bubby is 5 years, 5 months and 5 days older than me. And can I tell you, that must be the perfect amount of time to space your kids out, because we almost always got along. I can't recall a single time we didn't!

[A little Rock Band silliness last Christmas]

Then 3 years ago, my bubby gave me a sister! It's fitting that I didn't have a chance to post this until now, because they are celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary today!

30DBC : Day 4

Day 4 : your parents
Well, here they are - my tri-lettered parents, Bob & Pam!
(Papa, me and mama in Navarre Beach)

My parents have been together for 28 years! That's a rarity in today's society!

Some of my fun facts:
- my parents always called me Fred for some reason... Bucket Head Fred to be exact
- I got my addiction passion for travel from them, I can't remember a year that we didn't take atleast one family vacation
- they used to always have parties when us kids were little... I remember the stereo in the living room would be so loud you couldn't even go in there. Every time I hear a Steve Miller Band song I say "this reminds me of my childhood!"
- my parents have a very 'do it yourself' attitude. I'm pretty sure between the two of them they can scheme up, build or fix anything.
-because of their jobs I love any smell that reminds me of a car body shop or a hair salon! (Yep, brake parts cleaner and perm solution get me every time!)
-everyone thinks my dad is "hilarious" and my mom is "so creative!"
-they pretty much rock
-I'm their favorite child ;) (Just kidding bubby!)

30dBC : Day 3

Day 3 : your first love
Chris might cringe reading this one, but my first love was my high school boyfriend - B. We were only together for a little under two years, but we had a lot of good times and learned a lot about love together! Of course, were young and trying to grow up together. He ended up graduating high school and getting into partying and made a few choices, uh, not in our relationship's best interest!

I won't lie and say it wasn't tough - sure I was only like 18 but I'm pretty sure being cheated on sucks regardless of your age! If I learned one thing from B though, it was forgiveness. After a lengthy period of not speaking to him (understandably!) I slowly began chatting with him, and we actually became really good friends.

I truly believe that some things just aren't meant to be, and am pretty easy going and try to remain friends with most people after break-ups. B and I hung out pretty regularly for a good 2 or 3 years.

Most of my (girl) friends went away to college, so when I turned 21 I would occasionally go out to the bars with B and his friends on the weekends. In fact, I met Chris through B! Sadly, B wasn't a fan of us getting together (I think he may have thought our friendship was going to turn back into what we used to have) and stopped talking to both Chris and I shortly thereafter....

30DBC : Day 2

Day 2 : meaning behind your blog name
When I first started my internship (at the company I now work full-time for) I couldn't find my way around if my life depended on it. Our office building started out as an old school and has been added onto umpteen times. Needless to say it's like a game of real life chutes and ladders every time you turn a corner. I was so afraid to go to someone's office because I swore I wouldn't be able to find my way back to my own desk!

One of the first 'paths' I hammered down was from my desk to the front office to drop off packages that needed mailed out. I was always greeted with a friendly "Well hello miss Chelsea, how are you doin today?!" from LaVonda, or forever-cheery receptionist.

It always made me giggle when she said it, and for some reason I always find myself repeating her tone in my head as I walked back to my office. When I transferred my personal blog over from Cream & Cotton (my craft blog) that just sorta stood out in my head, and stuck!

Somewhere along the line I picked up the habit of calling people "mister" or "miss". I'm so full of "yes sir's" and "thank you ma'am's" you'd swear I was a Southern belle!

30DBC : Day 1

Ya'll shoulda known I can't NOT jump on a bandwagon like this! So here I am, joining the likes of 2/3rds of you (and Katie, whom I'm a new follower of!) for the 30 Day Blog Challenge

I'm a little late joining in, but here goes nothin!

Day 1 : introduce / recent picture / 15 interesting facts
Hi lovelies! I won't insult your intelligence by telling you my name... I'm going to assume you'll figure it out at some point, if you haven't already!

(takin shortly before I chopped my hair off)

1. I really wanted to be a mailman when I was younger... it was like my dream job (thank goodness I grew out of that stage!)

2. I'd much rather watch true reality tv (NatGeo, History Channel, etc) than 'reality tv' (Jersey Shore, Real World)

3. I really enjoy finding/inventing new recipes & baking

4. I don't really ever like to eat anything that I bake.

5. I would much rather have salty or savory snacks than sweets.

6. I absolutely love to sew and make quilts

7. On that note - I'm pretty sure I'm a 60some year old woman stuck in a 22 year old's body!

8. I just recently tried and became addicted to guacamole

9. I know how to play piano (took lessons for a few years) and the french horn (middle school band)

10. I could watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days over and over

11. I get unfairly frustrated when people use "their/there/they're" or "your/you're" incorrectly.

12. I am a denim-aholic. I blame it on working at The Buckle for a multitude of months - I can (and usually will) identify what jeans any given person has on.

13. I have breakfast every Sunday morning and dinner every Monday night with my grandpa. I will never make any other plans on those days if I can help it!

14. I watch the news every morning. If I don't see it before work, I'll browse it online when I get to work. I don't like not knowing what's going on in the world around me

15. I name most things I come in contact with (a bug that's in my car - Manfred. My car itself - Cammie. A plane on the runway - Poindexter, I could go on and on!) I'm not sure why I personify everything, but I've done it for as long as I can remember.

Since I'm a few days behind, I'm going to try to catch up tonight or tomorrow, I'll apologize ahead of time for the abundance of posts hitting your Reader!
