A day in the life

Yesterday I walked out of my office to see this...

Here at the house of booze my office is right off the salesroom (see that white door in the second photo). This provides lots of entertainment, namely when sales meetings are going on (I get to hear about all the new flavors coming out and typically get to join in on sampling), but is also a little on the boring side when they have serious meetings and I'm not allowed to have my radio on and have to tiptoe around my office!

Of course, when there's a sales meeting going on (like right now) and there's a fly in my office (like right now) and said fly keeps landing on me (his preferred perch being my nose or my arm), I have two choices: to either
a) sit here and pretend I don't notice there's a fly on my nose or
b) swat at it, whilst all 80+ people can see me with arms flying like a maniac because my desk is in plain view from the door to the sales room.

Life is made up of hard decisions.

PS. Three Olives Purple tastes JUST like grape candy, as suspected. Mixed with lemonade it's rather tasty, even though I don't love grape flavored candy it was a fun summer drink. Oh, and it's purple in color which makes it WAY cool!

Grapesicles

We're going to a launch for this tonight...
Three Olives Purple
I hear it tastes JUST like grape popsicles, I will let you know! I am not a HUGE grape fan, let alone grape flavored candy, but launch parties are always a good time!

Only in Cancun

I came across an old Photobucket account of mine and couldn't help but laugh at these photos of my cousin and myself (and our furry friend, Cocoa) in Mexico
She hopped out of the back of a pickup truck at a stoplight. We enjoyed the afternoon on the sidewalk, you know... made farting noises, shared sunglasses, I gave her my gum, she flipped off passerby-ers. Only in Cancun!

The one about free money

I've mentioned on my blog a few times that I'm an entrepreneur at heart. My mind is always trying to turn hobbies into profit. I am an avid saver and love that feeling when you earn a little bit extra on the side from something else you do, with that being said I know that nothing comes easy and money doesn't just grow on trees!
When I financed my car last fall my bank offered me a rewards debit card. For a $25 yearly fee I was a little hesitant (I wasn't interested in airline miles, all I've heard are horror stories!) The girl explained it all to me and I was like 'eh sure why not'. I sort of forgot about it until the past week when I received my monthly rewards statement.

I logged on to see what I could get with a little over 8,000 points. Expecting to see a cheap handheld fan or a magazine subscription to Puppies Monthly, I was quite surprised to see pages upon pages of gift cards, home goods, electronics, everything you could possibly want.

Sure, I couldn't afford a iTouch or anything like that, but $50 Target gift cards were 5000 points, $25 Best Buy gift card were 2500 points and so on. I then noticed I could "pay myself back", for the same amount as a $50 gift card, I could put $50 back into my account. Add. to. shopping cart! Go ahead and throw in another $25 please!

So basically you're telling me just because I used my debit card all year long on everyday purchases (gas, food, shopping, etc) I get a bonus $75. COUNT ME IN!

I'm not getting anything from Chase for saying this, and I'm sure a lot of banks offer it I'm just new to the "rewards" scene and found this exciting! I understand I spent all the money and the points are nowhere near the amount I've spent, but I would have spent that amount regardless of if I was getting points or not!

Do you use any rewards debit cards? Cash back credit cards? Are you one of the few who has actually mastered the art of airline miles?

Fill in the blank

(Another photo by my ridiculously talented cousin, Alicia!)

I'm just not feeling back up to par yet... Tuesday's after a long weekend are so hard! I saw this on Dani's blog and it looked like fun so I wanted to join in!

I love... the fact that my boss is out of the office so I can listen to my Pandora stations all week!

Right now I want... a big 'ol plate of crispy bacon and a glass of chocolate milk. Terrible, I know!

I feel like... I need to do something creative... I was out of town all weekend and came back yearning to create!

I hate it when... you just barely get sunburnt and it itches like crazy

I fear... that something bad is bound to happen, because I have too many good things goin for me!

I'm lonely without... my daily "good mornin" text from ChrisChris.

I need... to actually get some work done ;)

Today I... am going out to dinner with my lovely family and some good friends for a good cause!

Tomorrow I'm... hoping to get some sewing done

I just... learned how to drive a stick shift over the weekend. Woohoo!

I want to meet... someone with a private jet and a pilots license that will fly me and my guests of choice away at a moments notice!  ;)

I'm hungry for... bacon... biscuits and gravy.... maybe even some home fries... I really need to quit talking about bacon.

I love it when... ChrisChris & I go on roadtrips and bring along my collection of high school mix cd's (Spring Break '02 Mix is a classic!)

I'm afraid of...
Lady Gaga. Hahah but really... I don't have any hardcore phobias or fears, I do always check under my car and in my back seat! I think being kidnapped would be the scariest thing ever. I carry pepper spray and am always ready to make a mad dash no matter how high my heels!

I'm listening to... Malibu Sounds of Summer (one of my favorite stations!)

I'm wearing... no watch today! My wrist feels nakie!

I want to get... back into the habit of taking lots of pictures like I used to

I cant... believe I've worked at the house of booze for over 2 years. I was really fortunate to score and internship and a job right out of college!

I'm nervous to... start looking at houses again. I get terrible anxiety just thinking about it

I feel happiest when... I've just landed and am stepping off a plane
